Life and Derby

If you've ever met Rob...you know that he hasn't stopped since we got here!!  We've been in the house for about 5 weeks and he has...
painted the office
painted the kitchen
added a set of stairs to the porch
put in a rock path to the new set of stairs
cut down and moved all the dead fall in the back
cut down a tree in the front
fixed all the squeaky floors
added shelves in the garage
...and I am sure that I have forgotten something!
Oh ya...two new light cans in the kitchen!

Taylor is an awesome big sister and helps me all the time by watching Matthew!

Jordan is now potty trained and doing awesome!  She's had a rough week this last week...if you can tell form the picture, she fell off the porch onto the rock path and got a pretty good goose egg while bloodying her nose.  She has had a fever for about a week with really bad breath.  After about 3 days I finally gave in to take her to the doctor only to find out that she didn't have an ear infection or strep throat!  We're hoping that she will get better soon... for all of our sanity!!

Jord is an awesome big sister too and loves to lay and play with Matthew....The only draw back is that Matthew doesn't get to play with his toys!

We took a night off from projects last week and found a fun park to play at.  The girls loved the splash pad even though we hadn't come prepared.

Jordan had no qualms stripping down to her undies....Taylor was a little more modest and stayed dressed.

In honor of moving to Louisville and to my Grandma who watched the Kentucky Derby religiously, we decided to make our own hats and watch the derby!

Jordan didn't want a thing to do with our homemade hats, she opted for the cowboy hat...

Rob, on the other hand, didn't mind our girly hats!  Oh and that is strawberry milk in his hand!!

Here's the whole happy family ready to watch the race!!  I wish we had gotten one a little closer up!

I had to include this one!!!  We just got the bumbo seat out for Matthew and he loves it!!  Jordan had to be i the pic!

Happy 4th Birthday Taylor

Here's our 4 year old!!  Please excuse the messy hair!

We decided to go to the zoo for her birthday!  Our first real excursion in Louisville!

The girls loved the carousel.

Matthew wasn't too impressed.

They loved all of the exhibits!  Especially the bears.

We ate our PB&Js while smelling the yummy burgers cooking on the grill.  Too bad it's so expensive to eat at the zoo!! :)

Gotta love the faces and poses that this girl makes.

Taylor wanted a Minny cake because Jordan had one and she had never had one.  I had a little mishap with the food coloring and she ended up orange and then Rob dropped something on her eye... I guess all that matters is that Tay still loved it!

Awkward smiles!!  Jenna curled her hair with her new curling iron!

February and March...

Well...it's been a couple of months and a lot has taken place... unfortunately, I haven't been the most dedicated to taking pictures!  Here's a little bit of what we've done since Matthew's birth at the end of January!

Taylor is the best big sister and always want to hold Matthew!  He loves all of her attention.

Jordan has rediscovered all of her baby toys!  It's hard to convince her that they are now Matthew's toys!

Another great big sister moment!!  I love when he helps...well, most of the time!

The day after we got home from the hospital with Matthew was Jordan's birthday.  Luckily I already had the cake baked and only had to frost it!

She got this cash register from Grandma Becky and some cotton candy from Tara.  She re-purposed the bucket to be her hat!

This is the one and only picture that I took of the move!  I'm really kicking myself!  Here they are taking Rob's car away!

We left for Wyoming two weeks after Matthew's birth. Rob dropped us off and flew to Louisville to start work. Two weeks after we got to Wyoming, Emry gave birth to Sawyer.  Here are the two boys...you'd never imagine that Matthew is a whole month older!!

After spending two weeks in Wyoming, Rob flew back and drove us to Zanesville, OH to spend some time with Tiffany's family.  Jordan and Chase, who are about 4 month apart, had a love hate relationship!  We were lucky to stay with Tiffany because Rob could come and see us on the weekends!  We're only 3.5 hours apart which will be nice!

I don't know if you can tell, but the front cart has Tiffany's three boys in it, and the cart Tyler is pushing has my three kids in it!!  We got some looks at the store!!

I love this picture of Taylor and Matthew!

Can you imagine twins??  I don't think Tiff can!

Pierce and Matthew!  Cousin twins!  Born the same day!

They hung out a lot in their matching bouncers!

We had some nice days in Ohio with the cousins!

5 weeks after leaving Utah!!  Here is Matthew on move-in day!  All of the doors were open so he hung out in his winter suit all day!

The girls slept in sleeping bags before we got out furniture in!

Jordan wouldn't stay in her sleeping bag, so she got to sleep in Matthew's car seat!!

Breakfast with no dishes!

Finally furniture!!  Getting back to normal life!  Love the three of them together!

More baby toys!  And they found some of the disposable nipples that they gave us at the hospital!

Playing in the leaves while I tried to rake them!

Playing in the unfinished basement!

Admiring her Easter eggs!

Here are the girls in their Easter outfits... unfortunately, this is the best picture I have!

I just couldn't resist including this picture!

Humana had a 5k that we decided to do.  Rob figured it would be a fun way to see downtown... Do you see the fog.  I didn't see much of downtown but we had fun!

Tay ran with me for about 1/2 a mile and then Rob convinced her to walk a little with him.

Here we are crossing the finish line!
